Did this series of animation to experiment a bit with After Effects. I took inspiration from my love for both vinyls and music videos.

I picked three of my favourite music videos and animated the most striking parts of them, which encompass the whole vibe of the video.
The vinyl popping up in behind the animated cover is supposed to be a further element of narrative .

I did this project alongside my day job and only had time to develop a triad of animations, hoping that one day I will have more time to continue it!

The story of Ben, an employee as many others that slowly descends in the loop of depression. He perceives himself as an outcast, a wolf, as if he has the heavy weight of a black cloud following him everywhere.

The black cloud gets heavier leading Ben to a breaking point where he has to come to terms with his mental health, will he break the cycle?

This animation was my final MA project at University for the Creative Arts - Farnham and it is a combination between digital and traditional, backgrounds are hand drawn with ink pen, the black cloud is obtained through monoprint and it is both digital cut out animation and an animatic.

There are no dialogues, in order to leave to the viewer free interpretation of the piece.
